Discover new routes and trails
Knowing the lanes, climbs, shortcuts and where the best restaurants are makes every ride more fun, and means you’re never further from home than you planned. The Tribe’s short rides give you exactly that.

Improve your Strava segment times
Who doesn’t want to come home to that little top-10 cup? Ride with experienced Tribe members and you’ll enjoy the ride and improve your times at the same time.

It’s not just about the cycling
Tribe rides mean chatting as you whizz along, breakfast and tea breaks, and the odd wine tasting. The friendships you make with people from every walk of life are a benefit you can’t measure.
What members say
Most of our members showed up for a single ride. Here’s why they stayed.
From “I can’t” to “Where next?”
‘I can’t do so much cycling…’ From here to ‘Where’s the next trip?’
My journey to think like this is the skill and victory of Speaking Wheels! Continue the success story, giving strength and inspiration to many like me. Thank you so much, and lucky to be a part of you!
Friendships around the bonfire
It is the experience that matters the most, and that is exactly what we did during my first long ride to the Rann of Kutch. All the ‘good’ adjectives in my vocabulary fall short to describe those days we spent together. Be it the travel, the stay, the cycling experience, the friendships that blossomed over the bonfires at night or on the long cycling stretches, the taste of local food and cultures – everything felt just spot-on with them!
Places straight out of National Geographic
It was all because of the Speaking Wheels team’s constant efforts that we could visit those picturesque places straight out of a National Geographic documentary.
It would have been impossible for me to see the rich heritage and dynamic culture of the places we went to, if it hadn’t been for Speaking Wheels. Your presence made the already beautiful places many times more interesting.
My first ride, and I felt at home
Women’s ride by Speaking Wheels was my first cycling event and I really enjoyed it! I experienced a warm welcome from all and got to meet many new people. They were much more experienced and older than me, but they never let me feel any different. Looking forward to doing more events like this!
Time for chai, selfies and rare birds
It is more than just a point-to-point ride and it is certainly not a race. There is enough flexibility to make a chai stop or pose for a selfie, savouring a rare bird or just plain time-pass. This makes it perfect for novices, as they have support and experts and can enjoy the ride care-free. I wholeheartedly recommend riding with these folks; they keep the spirit of cycling alive!
It’s the journey that matters
Cycling and the SW team have taught all of us that it’s the journey that’s important, not the destination.
Cycling isn’t just a sport; it inculcates so many values and changes the perspective towards challenges, relationships and life in general.
100 km days we never imagined
SW is always full of fun, encouragement, great company, support, appreciation, meticulous planning, expert guidance & awesome circuits. With their support we’ve completed several 100 km riding days, something we couldn’t imagine, even in the wildest of our dreams, a few months ago. Each and every ride is unique, a new learning & experience. With them, we have certainly pedalled to happiness.
A true Women’s Day celebration
Speaking Wheels is an amazing group! I joined in for their Women’s Day ride to a strawberry farm and it was such a great experience. It was organised very professionally and they took good care of us, ensuring our safety and comfort. The ride was led and organised by all women, a true Women’s Day celebration. Looking forward to more rides with Speaking Wheels!
Before you join
The questions new riders ask us most. Anything else, just ask.
Do I need to be fit or fast to join?
Not at all. Our rides are easy-paced and planned around food, culture and the view, never the clock. Every ride page lists the distance and a difficulty level, from Easy / Beginner up to Moderate to Difficult, so you can pick what suits you. Forget the miles, let’s cherish the smiles.
Who rides with the Tribe?
Over 100 amateur cyclists from all walks of life: a healthy mix of men and women, with an average age of 45. Some are returning to cycling after years; others have ridden 100 km days with us. What we share is a love for good roads, good food and good company.
What does it cost, and what do I get?
Membership is ₹2,700, paid annually. It gets you two members-only Tribe rides, priority booking and member prices on rides and tours, bike maintenance workshops, store discounts on service, spares and apparel, expert advice, and access to our invite-only Strava club and members’ WhatsApp group. See every benefit.
Does membership pay for itself?
It can. Tribe members pay less on most rides: ₹8,000 instead of ₹9,000 on the Amba Pawankhind Special, and ₹1,500 less on longer tours such as the Rann of Kutch, Infinity & Beyond and The Vino Velo. Two of those tours in a year save more than the ₹2,700 fee, before counting the members-only rides.
Can I ride with Speaking Wheels without joining?
Yes. Most rides are open to everyone at the non-member price, so you can try a ride first. A few rides and tours are Tribe-only, such as the anniversary night ride and the first edition of the Kerala Inland Expedition.
Do I need my own bike?
For most rides, yes: any well-maintained cycle works for our easy-paced rides. Some tours offer a rental cycle with a helmet if you don’t bring your own; the ride page says so. Helmets are compulsory on every ride, and lights are required on night rides.
Is it all cycling?
Far from it. Alongside the weekly meetup, day rides and multi-day tours, the Tribe gets together for workshops, breakfast and tea stops, wine tastings and even our own Inter-Tribe cricket tournament.
